Who am I?

Who am I?

My name is Cody and I am someone that always looks the part possibly and maybe your right, but I will tell you that I will definitely be the one who plays the part that I am chosen for and will do my best while I'm there. People have always said that I am someone that may look big with a scowl on my face but then once they meet me they describe me as being one of the most motivating people they have met. I have been proven to put others interest and problems before my own. I am just trying say that i am someone that deserves a chance and will do my best to prove something of myself.

With the person that I am today, as a new college student that is coming straight out of high school I didn't know what to expect from any of my classes and I would definitely say that it is scary in the beginning and with the class of IS101 I thought this would be the scariest and hardest of them all. But after meeting the person that I would be calling my professor for the next 16 weeks I knew that I would have the help that I would need for this class. After meeting Professor Albert Wu, I had realized that he is someone that just throws the work at you and expects you to do all of it on your own but someone that will help you find your own way through certain situations. To really sum it up I thought the class of IS101 was going to be the worst class out of all but quickly got reassured almost immediately and knew that this would be a class of guidance and somewhere we can all actually learn from having questions.

  1. Very glad you saw that I am willing to help you find your own way, not just throw work at you ^_^

Yes, this will be a class of guidance and learning, not just from professor to students, but from students to students, or even students to professor!

Welcome to college and IS101-3004, Fall 2024, Cody :-)

  2. Very nice to meet you Cody. I also was very intimidated when I first stepped into this campus not knowing what to expect. I applaud you being here straight out of high school and sticking it out. I think we can all learn many things in this class that's going to help us in the future. No matter what career choice we end up sticking with.

  3. Hi Cody,
I agree with your statement on my first impression of IS101 being a scary course but after taking it online last semester I quickly had a new mindset because as long as you do the work and put time into it this class can really end up being one of your easiest classes. The coursework is definitely not easy but but I am dedicated to pass IS101 this semester. I hope your first year here at CSN goes swell and if you have any questions always feel free to reach out. Good Luck!!

  8. Hello Cody!
I was also very nervous about starting my first semester at CSN since I didn't know what to expect. I'm a first-generation college student, and I didn't have anyone to look to for advice, but as the semester went on, I gradually got used to the environment and made friends, so the experience wasn't that nerve-wracking anymore. I'm positive you'll do just fine this semester!

  9. Hey Cody, your determination and positive outlook really stand out, and it’s clear that you’re someone who takes your role seriously, always giving your best. Starting college straight out of high school can definitely be intimidating as I'm still in high school and it scares me a little, but I’m glad Professor Wu’s approach has reassured us about IS101. It sounds like it’s going to be a great class for sure!

  21. Hi Cody, I also thought IS-101 would be one of the worst classes I chose this semester or at least one of the most challenging. Thankfully the Professor is very helpful and as you said not one who just throws assignments. The reassurance from the Professor helps make the class a lot better and enjoyable.
